AWARDS

*The CLA Game Fair Awards 2011

For articles written in the Daily Telegraph, I was named Countryside Writer of the Year (for non-specialist publications) at the 2011 Game Fair, held in the grounds of Blenheim Palace. My articles were about falconry in disbled schools, urban teenagers becoming rural gamekeepers, and people from non-farming backgrounds (Zimbabwean refugees, newly-released prisoners etc) going into agriculture.

*British Press Awards 2005

I was named Property Writer of the Year for a series of articles I'd written in the Daily Telegraph ( samples below)

The judges said:

"The subjects he attacks, and the way in which he does it, are fantastic. A fun style that lights up the page. Great depth of knowledge. Makes his reader commit from start to finish."

Suits you, Sirs

I view top-of-therange properties in three different guises - merchant banker, record producer, publishing tycoon

Meet Steve

I confront a serial squatter who occupies £3 million-plus houses.  He turns out to be rather charming.
